On Monday 25 September, Lloyd’s and Velonetic hosted their third in a series of market events for 2023. With a great deal of important activity required in the next few months ahead of cutover to phase one digital services in July 2024, the market session provided attendees with the technology changes; the deployment, testing and training approach; and the resources available to support adoption planning.
We’re pleased to share the slides and recordings of the event below. With over 450 market leaders attending from across the London market, it was a great way to come together to discuss key areas of delivery, and what that will mean for individual firms’ deployment and adoption strategies.
The event included a progress update from Bob James (Lloyd’s), and Chris Halbard (Velonetic), followed by two breakouts sessions; one on technology changes presented by Ruan Ebersohn (DXC) and Sian Keeble (Velonetic), and the other session on people and processes- deployment approach presented by Alvaro Montenegro (Velonetic) and Ray Johnston (Velonetic). During the lively Q&A sessions an emphasis was placed on the abundance of resources that are available to support you.
The breakout sessions were followed by Matt Unsworth (Lloyd’s) and Bob Verber (Velonetic) covering adoption and market readiness.
Our last session was a market panel discussing adoption readiness, which provided valuable insight into the panel’s own experiences and adoption planning for phase one and beyond. The panel comprised Simon Boniface (Deputy COO, Howden Broking Group), James Livett (Associate Director, LIIBA), Anna McNamara (Chief Administration Officer, Tokio Marine Kiln) and Rob Myers (Operations Director, LMA).
