On Monday 19 June, Lloyd’s and Velonetic, hosted the second in a series of market events. The working session provided senior operations and claims practitioners with an update on 2023 progress; the work of the London Market Group Data Council; further detail around deployment and the sequences of the digital processing build, as well as action that market participants can take.
We’re pleased to share the slides and recording of the event below. With over 450 market leaders attending from across the London market, it was a great way to come together to discuss key areas of delivery, and what that will mean for individual firm’s deployment and adoption strategies.
The event included a progress update from Bob James (Lloyd’s), and Chris Halbard (Velonetic).
Sheila Cameron (LMA) presented an update on the LMG Data Council priorities and the key things that firms should get ready for, followed by a panel conversation with Clyde Bernstein (Aon), Theo Butt (Convex), and Kate Markham (Hiscox), facilitated by Hannah Kate Smith (Lloyd’s.)
Next up was Joe Gordon (PPL) and Steve Hicks (Lloyd’s) covering the end-to-end placement journey and how PPL’s next generation platform will integrate and complement the Joint Ventures digital processing build.
Dave Matcham (IUA) presented on the global premium and claims element of the digital processing build, known as ‘sequence two’, which is now live and available for firms to take up. Updates on the later digital processing sequences followed, including open market, delegated authority and Digital Gateway solutions (sequences three, four and five), presented by Ruan Ebersohn (DXC) and Alvaro Montenegro (Velonetic). Karen McDonagh Reynolds (Velonetic) then presented on the deployment approach for these sequences.
After a break, we continued with a presentation on adoption strategies by Matt Unsworth (Lloyd’s) and Bob Verber (Velonetic).
Hannah Kate Smith (Lloyd’s) then presented an overview of the model office; a new physical space on Gallery 3 of the Lloyd’s building, enabling market participants with their adoption of Blueprint Two.
